Saying goodbye to hard hunting this fall

Condolences! That is tough for 28. But you have lots of seasons in front of you. As a teenager I had to sit out an elk season for knee surgery and it was tough. But now that's just in the rear view mirror. You'll be back at it. Patience!

Well I am at the 3 week mark. I am stir crazy but still sore enough that I'm not back to work yet. Things seem to be healing well and I'm out of my brace. I can possibly lose the crutches next week. Just started putting weight on the leg today and so far so good.

I think I may even be able to get some camping done this summer.

I had total knee replacement on the 21st, so I'm at the 2 week point. My big issue so far is that I went 6 days without sleep. Not zero sleep, but about an hour a day, and never felt sleepy. Any issues with sleep?

A 62 year old friend had hip replacement last week of September last year. On November 1st I helped him pack an elk he shot out of the worst place I ever helped with an elk. He had help, but he was down in that really steep hole where you needed hiking poles, and to hold branches etc, just to get in and out.
