I got to see something in the creek while out shed hunting today that I have never saw in Ohio. They have been making a comeback over the last several years in the state. It's great being out in nature. You just never know what you'll come across.

Very cool.Have a couple down on the Black River in AZ.No one would believe us including Az.Game and Fish.
Very tough hike in,but now they are recognized as a new part of our diversity here in the Grand Canyon State.
If ever in Az. fish the Black River, small mouth heaven!

They can get in a 2 acre small lake in MO and empty it of the fish in a couple of months. Awesome to look at but tough on the fish.

I can imagine. This pair was working over a riffle area in the creek. I'd say they could be devastating to the endangered river mussel species that live in those riffles.

You got them things in your rivers say goodbye to your fish. They'll clan out a hole and onto the next one.

I enjoy watching them every time I see them. The only exception is when hunting in the swamp when you see ripples coming, hear a little splashing, and heart begins to race thinking it's a deer.....only it turn out to be an otter.

This video does not do it justice. After a morning hunt in the Atchafalaya Basin I was driving out and saw a group of otters feeding on small shad trapped in a ditch. I was able to sneak close and watch them until they had their fill and went about the rest of their day.

They have started to return in big numbers in the river I guide on, sad to say, great to see, but boy do they eat fish, and everything else including ducklings!
This is a poor video, on the right hand side you can see him hugging the Bankside, he also gives a little whistle back to me, he initially swam right in front of us under water.

Awesome, thanks for the videos! I hope they leave a few fish for me, as the two I filmed are right smack dab in the middle of one of the best smallmouth bass creeks that I know of. There are some absolute "footballs" in that stretch of water....and they sure are fun to catch on the fly!

Very cool! once in a lifetime deal here in AZ,unless you fish same river 3yrs in a row.
Plenty of fish still abound in the "Black" would like to harvest one but hey don't seem to be very cuddly.
