We had that really good cold snap in October I thought it would have been a good year.

In the area we were in that october cold and snow screwed everything up. The deer all packed up their stuff and headed out.

Weather definitely hampered my elk hunting.

My late season cow hunt was pretty difficult. It was my first year elk hunting, so I’m sure that didn’t help hahah. We ended up getting one down during the warm weather late in the year, but we definitely had to work for her.

It looks like unit/weapon numbers are not posted yet. Our experience in the Panhandle in late Sept was cold and wet. 2 days of better/to good conditions and elk were out and about. Rifle season weather seemed much better. Some cold days, but fairly clear.
