Awesome! Congrats! Thats a great mature billy! I remember after the 2nd goat hunt I was on saying I wasn’t sure I needed to go through that again. That feeling fades over time and ya kinda forget how grueling it is.

You’ll be first in line to go next chance you get. Great job!

[Carl 9.3x62]

That thing is shaggy. Great hunt, thanks for sharing.

Beautiful goat, they do live in awesome country. My goat in '24 was 6yo and I almost got too close, 50yds. So much for practicing long shots

[Charlie Bob]

Never doubted you !

[BigHornRam]

Awesome goat hunt. Congratulations!

[Wild Bill]

Fuggen hell rite.

Nice shaggy Billy. Whats the estimated age? I won't attempt to age him off pics.

I love this picture of him. Reminds me of a Pomeranian with a giant puffy fur coat.

Thank you, I think he’s a good goat for this unit and I’m super happy with him. His face, body size, and hair conditions checked all the boxes for me. His body size reminded me of a nice montana blackbear. Took the two of us to safely maneuver him to a tree so we could start to clean him. When he popped out above the small one he looked like a gorilla waddling across the scree. Based on rings I think he was in his prime at 5 years old.

I ran into another tag holder trying to check his in yesterday at FWP but they were closed for Columbus Day. He pulled his out and it had 9 really pronounced rings which was cool to see. Mine was definitely younger but had bigger bases and carried it higher on the horn, was within 1/4 on length and both faces look like mature goats.

Long winded response but I thought age was a going to be a bigger deal to me, I’m pretty pumped with this goat. He’s a trophy of a lifetime to me.
