I attended the Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation banquet and fundraiser in Fresno last night. Well over 900 people had a very good steak dinner, some adult beverages were consumed and the elk foundation raised at least 70 or 80 grand. Among the auction items, a California open zone deer tag went for $11,000, and the open antelope tag went for $4400. For my part, I bid on several prints and bronzes, but some lady keep out bidding me. I also spent way too much on raffle tickets, and won a CVA muzzleloader.
