RIP to a legend. He was far before my time, as I grew up in the steroid era watching Bonds, McGwire and Sosa but can't imagine what it would've been to see a guy hit 755 without any "assistance." What a great ambassador for the game!

As a pirates fan I was a huge Bonds fan, but hammering Hank is the real HR King!! 86 yrs old he had a good run.

When I first heard he died today I still thought of him as the home run king. Bonds didn’t even cross my mind.

He did it as a skinny whip - 6', 180 pounds. So smooth, he made it look easy (which was why he didn't have more Gold Gloves).

My childhood grows smaller in the rear view mirror every day. Today it took a big jump. Henry Aaron was this southern white boy's idol as a kid, and pretty much through my life. I really respect him for what he did, for the conditions he did it in, and why he carried on like he did.
