Requesting Sleeping Bag/Pad Recommendations Please

I purchased the Big Agnes Campmeister Deluxe Insulated pad.

I'm holding until next year to get a sleeping bag. No decision made in that area yet but a lot of time to think it over yet. I'm likely going to sacrifice some weight/bulk for comfort.

32 degree bag is plenty at 10,000' in the september co mountains.

my neo air x lite is plenty comfy and surprisingly durable.

It got down to 32.5 deg F right before first light in the Eastern Sierra at 8000 ft last week. I'm finding fewer and fewer times I want to pack my 30 degree bag. It is now reserved for Coastal Archery season, You have to have room for a contingency like a freak snowstorm. I find my zipper on my zero degree BA bag gets plenty of use from bed time until morning when I'm in the alpine. Buy the best bag in your price range is all I can advise. And buy a mat with some level of insulation.

i once got through a 1st rifle season in a 32 degree ultralight quilt with nights in the low teens.

just saying, no one needs 800 dollar zero degree bags to get through a few 30 degree nights in the sep colorado alpine. layer up with the clothes you need to bring no matter what and you can handle a lot.

My learning experience was not having warm base layers packed to give me that extra temp range. I've also seen a family I've packed up into the Eagle Cap wilderness for a 5 day camping trip walk out after a freak 4th of July storm that dumped 4 inches of snow on them. You are correct though ...a puffy jacket can sure extend the temperature range of a sleeping bag. I just hate the feeling of cold seeping in through my bag. I had that with a synthetic "0 degree" bag I bought for $200 from a major sporting goods manufacturer. I thought my bivy sac would add more warmth but I just got clammy and more cold.

I'd spent 600 bucks on a Megalite and didn't have enough to buy a good bag for my late season. Funny, I found the money after that

Anyone have experience with Kilos Gear AeroCloud Sleeping pad? Specs are fantastic just would be nice to know if they hold up in the field.
