Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

Supreme Court just said Trump's tariffs are not legal.
Looks
like we were posting at the same time.

Couple of things coming out...

Key point....zero surprise...is that congressional approval was needed

No word on if tariff refunds are required...or what will happen with the money collected. Serious national budget issues in play

Some tariffs...on steel for examole...Will likely stand as the authority for them falls under other direction.

I just purchased a new Four Wheel Camper. I was pricing 2025s at the time and there was a tariff line item.

When I ordered mine late in 2025, before another price increase October 1, and knowing it wouldn't arrive until February I just got the 2026. They decided that the tariff line item wasn't a great look, so they just added costs to the build for 2026 and removed the "tariff" language. Apparently it didn't go over well for the '25s.

Some of you guys need some serious help...I feel sorry for your employers with all the time you waste on this stupid thread.

About the only post I'm interested in here. Craig, what made you go this route rather than the GoFast? Did you look at both? Just curious as I've been comparing both.
Curious to hear your thoughts as much time as you spend sleeping in the truck.

20 years. $8+ trillion spent. Thousands dead. To replace al qaeda with.. al qaeda.

But at least we created a shit ton of islamic refuges for europe and the us.
To be clear, those were example of how not to wage a war. I think most agree with that.

On the other hand, we "attacked" Venezuela. Does attacking Iran look more like Venezuela or Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. None of us know.

Not ignored, but they have little to do with Iran other than making Iran stronger.
It has a lot to do with Iran. The US is unable to create regimes in the Middle East. The shifts in power after taking down Saddam has been very negative.

I don’t like the current regime in Iran but who is going to replace it? It could turn into ISIS 3.0.

Actually, we sought and had support from other nations before. We went alone on Venezuela and on the surface appear to be on Iran as well.

And it took awhile for power to be settled before...in Venezuela it was handed to a close ally of Medura..and like him, with ties to drug running and graft.

I don't think we know the answer to whether it's a good or bad thing yet.

If you want to complain about what happened with the Iran/US relationship, you really need to go back to the 70s.

No, you have to go back further than that. We overthrew their government in the 50's and installed the Shah. We might not remember, but they sure do.

... and created power-vacuums throughout the Middle East and Africa, where groups like ISIS/ISIL are creating or amplifying existing conflicts.

Every toppled regime, to include Afghanistan, resulted in massive quantities of arms and weapons left for the takers, and a massive game of "finders keepers" where the baddies usually win.

The world isn't getting any safer and going to war with Iran isn't going to fix that either. There is one bully in the Middle East who's been involved in every attack and/or invasion, it starts with I and rhymes with carrousel.

Hint it's Israel.

That makes it even worse. Sounds like a fun retirement. :)

As far as Four Wheel vs Go Fast goes. I'm not sure how far you are into researching. I'm assuming you are looking at Four Wheel Project M. Project M is probably a little lighter, but you can't access the interior from the sides. Four Wheel has a great reputation since they've been around for decades. I haven't heard anything bad about Go Fast.

The biggest issue people have with any TC is weight capacity. Most 1/2 ton trucks are fairly limited. For both of those types, I'd do some checking to see how much dust gets in. My thought is Four Wheel would have a slight advantage since it doesn't have the side seams.

If you haven't, I'd also look at hard side or hard top roof top tents. They have the advantage of being lower and lighter potentially. One example of how people do it is this guy. He also has details about how he runs larger tires on his Toyota etc on his overland rig on his channel.
