I’m trying to learn to find them with more regularity. I usually find them on bluegill beds. May be the most fun you can have clothed on the water. Fantastic table fare too.

My favorite fish to catch/eat. We’ve always found them a little deeper than bluegill (bream). Fishing off the bottom with little red worms

I've always just picked up a few while bluegill fishing, never targeted them.
I've heard they eat the little snails and such that grow on wood in a little deeper water.
