Red Diesel

I helped a grad student who happened upon us while out west hunting. I invited him to join our hunt group as he was looking to harvest his first mule deer buck. Sure enough he got one opening day. He was camping out of his subaru. He would take everything out, lay out his bed in back and get some sleep. He cut all the meat up, stuffed it in his cooler, loaded the suby and he was off. I understand they are not 4 x 4 monsters that go places you shouldn't but economically they are a smart choice. Not bad for a stupid guy like me. Ha! When I get the point of switching to a subaru, I will not have any more trailers to haul or large jobs to complete.
Now, back to the red diesel. We just had our first theft of red diesel from a farmers tractor that was just sitting in field he was working on. Another bonus for that program, hurting the farmers even more. I hope congress gets that reversed.

Driving a Subaru is like dating an ugly chick , it’s all fine and dandy until your friends meet her .

It’s a foreign car no matter how you squeeze it .
The fact that there’s still model T’s on the road doesn’t make me want to buy one .

To quote Harley Davidson - It’s better to dead and cool , than not dead and driving a Subaru !

Or something like that , but you get the picture?
It’s a perception thing out west. You’re either a lesbian or a liberal. One of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen. If you can’t coal roll or drive a truck something wrong with your d!ck. My ‘07 ram is parked unless I need it.

I have a 2011 Outback with 250,000+ miles still going strong. Only done standard maintenance. Still gets 27+ mpg.

Factory in Lafayette, IN employees friends and friend’s families. Hour and a half from where I grew up. But yeah, a foreign car.

Yes it’s a foreign car .
Your argument about it being built in the US doesn’t make any difference.
Just like all the Chinese shit sold by Walmart , Walmart being the largest retailer in US , is still foreign shit , no matter how many Americans are employed selling it .

That's an interesting angle of looking at it. Check most of the stuff at Midway, Midsouth, Natchez, Bass Ho, Cabela's etc the list is endless. It all comes from somewhere that is not USA. Where do you draw the line at what is acceptable and what is not? It's a deep ass hole and we all dug. Singling out one particular product or manufacturer doesn't make sense.

Ok , I agree .

@Charlie Bob I definitely agree with you to a point. Something that has China stamped proudly all over it is a product that I WILL NOT buy!
I’m guilty of it , buying foreign stuff , I use Amazon a lot .
There is no right answer to the Made in America argument anymore.
The big 3 is gone , my wife drives a Honda hydrid .
Buy whatever you need or fits your budget, I get it .
Still , I’ve got to mess with people about it , those that don’t really see what’s happening.
