We who have responsibility for kids days at a time need cartoon entertainment. Some are good for us as well as a distraction to hold the kids while we have to take calls, do chores. I’m Looney Tunes till I die. The music score alone is fantastic and very good exposure for young ears. But those good ones are relegated to reruns on premium subscription or youtubes. So for the current offerings:
#1Bluey. Funny stuff! Those writers get it and don’t need to kowtow to the puritanical FCC because it’s an Australian show.
#2 Molly of Denali. It’s a show that’s from the perspective of an indigenous girl in AK. My toddler is infatuated with AK now, bonus! And I know Molly’s town had to be influenced by Talkeetna. Been there and very similar. When I take him there it’ll be like Disney World.
#3 Wild Krats- these guys have been doing the Jack Hannah 20-odd years now. The current iteration is a mostly cartoon (dudes got old). It’s unauthentic and unrealistic (there are different recurring evil actors who have unlimited resources, but always fail to take the animals). All that aside, this provides different animals world-over in every episode and I’m grateful for that.
So let’s hear it, what else do you guys show your kids?
