Randy and Corey at RMEF Mountain Festival

I had the chance to attend the RMEF Mountain Festival this last weekend. I thought it was cool to see Randy and Corey Jacobsen just cruising around mingling. Randy, at one point, was just chilling in the GoHunt tent. These dudes are as approachable as they seem on TV and podcast. I really enjoyed their live Elk Talk Q&A. I learned a ton, but was most impressed by their answers to how to deal with stuff when it gets hard on a hunt. A gentleman courageously shared his struggle with anxiety and depression and asked how they deal with the lows of hunting. Hearing Randy talk about how he sometimes just has to take a walk when starts feeling low on a hunt resonated with me. Both of them talked about just appreciating the experience of the hunt and not getting so tied up in whether or not you're successful. Should be a great Elk Talk podcast when it comes out.
