We've been having a bit of weather around Western MT, but we've still been able to get out and have some fun. Daily hikes with the dogs, down 15 pounds in 1 month and a few fish here and there. Some of the photos are by my wife (the good ones are).

It's the Prickly Pear Sportsman's range west of Helena. Only goes out to 300 yards but it's close and is kept up well.

That little rifle shoots about a foot high at 100 yards. Need to get a new front blade for it and lower the POI. packs a bigger wallop than than my 300 WM.

I would normally suggest a barrel float, but.....

Once I can afford to get the pre-WWI Gerard G scope refurbished and the new claw mounts made I will. But a $40 fix to get me to POA is a much better option right now. All signs point to a rather accurate rifle with 200 grain woodleighs.

Expensive rifle no matter what I do with it.

There's a ton of beetle killed trees in the South Hills trail complex south of Helena. Apparently some people need to be reminded that dead, decaying trees are not playthings and can fall down in a strong wind. It was right off the trail on this afternoon's hike.
