I live in Arizona and I was dreaming about hunting trips this fall, when it occurred to me that with the rain being as scarce as it has been this summer (even the cactus are looking a little wilt-y many places), I figured it'd be a good approach to try to determine rainfall by location for small game. Came across a cool resource that I'd thought I'd share!

You can put in a date range and it will spit out a map with rainfall during the period! Seems pretty cool to me!

I have used it a bit before, and the only issue I have had with it is some data points are wildly inaccurate. It isn't a big deal for the records that are surrounded by other stations, but with isolated stations it can be hard to know if the data is accurate.
The two screenshots below show one way to help confirm information. Using the Filter slider in the bottom left side of the screen allows you to remove stations that are inconsistently reporting data.
