Raft vs Drift Boat

Don't think I haven't thought about that too. A fellow really needs more than one boat.

Very true! I have often owned a couple......looked at the reality of the situation and realized I can eat fish at will year round from the drift boat and have more money for hunting trips. Life is always a compromise it seems!

I took the drift boat out on the lower Columbia yesterday and landed 3 white sturgeon, lost 1 and missed a couple bites. Had to run about 1 1/2 miles downriver to the hole and was sort of missing my old jet boat for a while but when it was all said and done I landed more fish than any of the $30,000 plus boats around me. Hard to beat a boat that versatile!

Unless you ever plan on guiding, I'd suggest a raft. Better for spots like the Beartrap, easier to hunt out of, can fit more people comfortably, and more kid friendly
