Serious question, how do wolves and sheep in MT keep come back from the spirit world? Yesterday there were 17 wolves recorded as being killed. Today that number is 16. An Unlimited sheep unit this year reported 5 dead rams when it closed, today there are 4. Great job reducing harvest with the new closure rules BTW. Over the years I’ve received emails stating units are shutting down, for what I can’t remember, only to send an email out a day or two later saying it’s back open…whoops. Rhetorical question, who can consistently F this up this bad?

One of the rams in the unit with 5 reported was called into the quota line twice. They corrected it to 4.
Crazy that there isn’t a list of who has called into that the quota line and that employee could look at it and think to themselves “hmmm…this guy already called in.”

They must have a similar data/customer management system as the MCAS Yuma BOQ. A spiral notebook and a pen.

They were trying to close that unit a day earlier than when it actually closed, but they had already published the daily update and couldn’t figure out how to update the website twice in one day. No rams were killed the extra day, but still pretty dumb.

I know the guy responsible for the two sheep that turned into one. His sat phone call dropped mid report and then he called back. They logged that as two separate sheep…

What drives me crazy is the guy they’ve had doing it the last couple years gives very limited info and refers you to the website.

People don’t want to be referred to a website, especially if they’re calling from a satellite phone. They want the info. All of the info a sheep hunter cares to know can be succinctly stated in under 20 seconds. Put it on the hotline
