Quick Release Rifle Bearer

You putting it all the way around the entire strap or just through a loop the strap on the front of the shoulder strap?

I have a slik sling either v1 or v2. I do not have any complaints. I can put it in with my pack on and I can take my pack off with it still connected.

I use the Kifaru. It works at times and other times it is annoying. It is way better than a traditional sling/carrier and I am glad I have it. Haven’t found any problems with it being hard to load or unload or even in the way of my pack or bino holder.

It does put the barrel of the rifle in my line of site at times which can be annoying.

The 2 features I like about it is it is easy to load/unload on the move and takes the weight of the rifle and spreads it across more of me.
I love the Kifaru gun bearer. It took me a while to figure out how slight an adjustment on the location of the lower mount(the part on the belt) will move the angle of the barrel. With some fine tuning the barrel in my face isn’t really an issue.

I use the fhf for my turkey gun. I'm not sure about the system compared to others but the sling itself is nice.

Does anyone have any alternatives to the gunslinger coral or the mystery ranch saddle? I want something on my packs waist strap that I can just swing the stock back and hook it instead of putting it into a pouch like other hands free slings. Was planning on making something on the shoulder strap that can clip in the top of the rifle so it doesn't slide off the shoulder

I installed a keeper piece on the shoulder strap of my MR Metcalf so my rifle sling stays on the inside of the keeper and doesn't slip off my shoulder.

Do you have a Pic of what you used. These pics are what I'm looking for to use also. Maybe something someone made or found that world as an alternative

Older thread, but I never pass a chance to evangelize for Eberlestock. I should be getting a discount.

I don't like stuff hanging off the side. With my back issues a balanced load is important.

Eberlestock Bolt action scabbard. It fits in the meat hauler space and puts the rifle between your shoulder blades. Easy to draw quickly and quietly. Grab and pull with your dominant side hand. My 24" and 26" rifles fit fine. First pic is showing it with my 24" M77 Mkii and second my 26" M70. I have used it with the Caribou Rifle cover on the rifle and a Leupold neoprene scope cover on.

Have admit that it doesn't work well with bipods, so I assume a can would not work either. They have a version called the Assault Rifle Scabbard that would work well with chopped rifles using bipods and cans.

When I took my tumble in Alaska in 2021, my rifle was fine afterward and scope POI was not changed.

BTW - I bought this from @IDFireLass in 2020 or 2021. Great transaction.

The pack in these pics is now my backup pack. I upgraded to the new Eberlestock frame in the same product line. The scabbard fits great in the new pack.

Don't have a pic, but it was just the female part of a plastic pack belt buckle, so stands straight up and holds strap in toward neck.
