Putting In A New Lawn

Arizona has 2 seasons, hot and dry and not as hot and still dry.

We decided to take our house we've been renting and use it for a recreational getaway once in awhile. It needed some attention in a few places, but the lawn was the worst.

It was brown and rabbits were digging around in it so we decided to put in a no-maintenance lawn and use Astroturf.

It turned out great...

Looks like the 19th hole!

I live in a 25-30 inch rain zone with dry summers and a shallow water table. we don't try to keep a nice lawn here besides mowing it during the growing season. Gophers are a menace. The thought had crossed my mind to do the same, but I'd probably have gopher mounds under the turf!

I kind of wish we had gophers...
