But you get so much more than just a cast iron:

metal ring rag (I paid $7 for mine)
scraper card (worth about $1)
cotton storage bag (can double as a game bag for those necks roasts!)

I mean, with that accessory package it is so worth the extra $375!

Oh, and there is free express shipping included as well. LOL!

I have a landcaster skillet. Pretty sure I paid north of 200 bucks for it. So still not 400 but pricey for a pan. However, it's a OIL investment. Used to have some cheap ones from fleet farm. What garbage in comparison with how food sticks to them and how they keep

A good overview of cast iron skillets. In their testing the fairly inexpensive Lodge is the winner over far more expensive makes.

I’m surprised the lodge was rated as the best. They are affordable and available anywhere but the finish on the new ones is rough. They need sanded down, season it again and you should be good to go.

I did this, food kept sticking on that rough surface so I took my grinder and smoothed the whole inside out real nice, and then re-seasoned it. Works great now!
