Pronghorn

Its all about revenue for FWP.
Pretty clear for many years, evident by fewer animals on the landscape and more available tags. IMO
I don’t think there is anything nefarious from the game managers and bios in region 7. It is bad data collection and whoever they are taking orders from that should get the blame. I have sat through several local public meetings where everyone has been on the same page about not increasing tags yet it still happens. We also have high turnover with our bios and they don’t know what they don’t know. Just the population estimates that are obviously flawed.

I agree, and should have taken my comment a step further. My bad.
FWP isn't allowed to manage.
2nd choice tags is ridiculous.

It honestly blows my mind the amount of tags they are doling out for antelope with what you actually see. Same for deer.

I drove to Ft.Peck twice this Spring from 3Forks. It appeared to me antelope have rebounded SOME, but not enough to increase tags.
I would agree you are seeing a few more out there but definitely not enough to increase anything. I guess I should wait until they actually give out the quota numbers. Maybe less people applied for fear of being shot at. (Jokes) kind of

I remember about 10-12 years ago you could buy a buck tag on the surplus list for the area here by Billings.

Haven’t been out a lot around here this year but the normal areas you see antelope are pretty small groups if any at all. Rough around here. Didn’t see many twins this year either like most years

I remember routinely shooting a buck and two does each year. Going back 25+ years. Seems kinda greedy now.
Landscape was different then

Landscape hasn’t changed much around here in 25 years. But antelope numbers sure have
