Anyone have contact for a taxidermist on POW that would prep a bear hide and send to tannery?

Careful up there. Several years ago we made a spring trip and took three nice bears. There was a well known skinner that would skin,freeze,flesh, & ship your hides. Not sure what happened but AK fish and wildlife troopers ended up raiding the place for violations. We lost 2 of the 3 bears we left it was my understanding 90% of the hides were ruined. My advise is learn to do it yourself and bring it back with you on the plane. It's not a difficult process.

I skinned mine, rolled it up, put it in a cooler with dry ice, then flew home.
When I got home I went to target, got a comforter sized vacuumed bag, put the hide in the bag, sucked out the air, froze it for a couple of weeks. Once it was rock hard I shipped it to foxx USA, they fleshed and tanned it for me.
