Pop Pop Got Busted Big Time

Grandsons got to ride their bikes over to our place tonight. Was working in the garage and the first thing that youngest (7) noticed was that their BB guns were by the back door.
"Pop Pop, did you make sure they are unloaded. Why aren't they in the safe? You said that is where they are supposed to stay until we use them again." Crap! Some major 'splaining to my future hunting partner. He was okay for Pop Pop to say that he screwed up, but he reminded me that it wasn't safe because people could get them and hurt somebody. Talk about Pop Pop haven't to eat some words.

Only one thing to say after something like that happens - "Pop Pop messed up and I'll not do it again"

Sure did bring a chuckle when I read that though.

If I'd have known years ago how much fun grandkids were I'd have bypassed the first stage.
