Threw a few things together whether it matched or not. Chili garlic fish over stir fry rice with some garden sweet corn.

I’ve researched it, and it seems to have very mixed reviews. Most people say it really doesn’t impart any salt flavor to what you cook on it. I’ve got a soapstone for my Kamado for when I want to do a flat surface sear. So I’ve not yet seen a use for the salt block that the soapstone doesn’t already cover.

They seem to be a little finnicky on how you heat them up too. Prone to cracking if you don’t follow the process.

My brother and SIL bought me one a few years ago. It was ok. I’d rather just salt on my own. It ended up just being more chit to clean!

Scallops on the Traeger last night. Rubbed with Cajun, then smoked for 45 minutes at 225. Then pulled off the grill, turned the heat up to 450 and basted them with garlic butter and seared for 10 more minutes…
