Smoked a deer pastrami tonight and made a open face sandwich with Greek pasta salad and corn.

Finally got colder and rained most of the day. Good time for some venison stew.

Spent the last 5 days in the backcountry hunting elk. Saw a grouse on the drive home and decided to take home some meat...

Bbq grouse pizza. Bbq sauce, bacon, grouse, gouda and mozz. Topped with cilantro. Not a bad consolation prize.

Neighbor brought me some halibut from his recent fishing trip in Alaska. So I did it up with a chorizo-Parmesan crust with roasted potatoes and sautéed green beans.
