How do you post pictures in a thread if you have them saved to your computer?

When you post, use the "Go Advanced" button. From there, go to manage attachments. You can then pic the file you want to upload and insert it in your post.

I usually upload them to photobucket.com and then paste them to a thread. Not sure if there is a better way or not. It will require a photo server to get them from your hard drive to here.
