Made a new friend today at the local animal rehab. She's a 29 year old Alaskan brown bear named Yak who was abandoned as a cub.

Some good examples of why these birds are called Ring-necked Ducks: The bronze colored ring around the drakes necks. Not easily seen or photographed. Great photo!
