I am curious how many have their own weather stations and what models? We have been accessing the neighbor's weather data but they are moving. Anything worth putting up for less than $150?

I don't have experience with buying one. Have you looked at the weatherunderground site? They collect weather from the usual inputs plus PWS (personal weather stations). Once you have your location entered, scroll to the bottom to see if there are any PWSs nearby. That may satisfy your need.
Been a member of COCO Rahs for several years,just need a real raingauge.
But I used to have a hardware store remote model. Could not take it here..lol. So I too have been looking to get a decent model for temps,barometer,etc again and was going to just check online.

My Grandparents have had an Acu-rite one since forever it seems like and has worked good. Pretty sure you can find them around the $200 mark.
