Pentax spotting scope

I'm in the process of buying a Pentax spotting scope anyone out there have any experience or feedback with this brand of optics.

Just checked them out on Bear Basin. That package deal is tempting, but I've decided on a Kowa. Look like quality scopes though. mtmuley

While I have never used the sport optics. I use the cameras and lenses. One problem that I know of with the cameras is that we have one place in the US to send them to for repair. So you might research where you would need to send it to for repair if needed. Overall they are a great brand and put out quality camera gear. I imagine that the sport optics are quality as well.

I am asking in some of the Pentax groups if anyone has any input on them cause Ive always been curious as well. But even my cheapest Pentax camera lens is a performer, Hope to have some input for you shortly.

Pentax take 1.25" astronomy style eyepieces so you can buy some nice aftermarkets for a good price. A good couple for the pentax is the Baader EP.
