Went to Sherwin Williams today and got my first round of supplies tape, drop sheets, brushes, roller heads, etc. and 8 gallons of paint. Went with Duration for the outside and Cashmere for the interior. Should be enough to do the kitchen and outside if my calculations are right and they're probably not. Also found something I didn't even know I needed a couple gallons of this Cool Feet concrete/deck paint. Gonna add some grip texture and see of I can make the back patio around the pool a bit safer and cooler. What's your guy's opinion on ceiling paint? Was at the store and saw it and it threw me for a loop didn't know there was such a thing.

Lot of people around here go with hardy board siding. I believe its like co Crete board. Heard lots of good things. No first hand experience though.

It’s a big deal around here too because of hail. I have seen it slightly dented, but it stands up way better than vinyl.

We just repainted out ceilings so that was easy to check, can is still sitting by the front door waiting for us to do the last bathroom tomorrow. Not sure if its a great ceiling paint, we just bought more of what was used before. Sherman Williams Superpaint latex acrylic satin in a custom very light tan, looks almost white. Again, touch ups match years later, and it lasted over 10 years. Was just time to do the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms.

Let us know how the interior cashmere from SW turns out. Im very impressed with their paints.

Figured I'd fo a little update. All I have left is to change a light fixture over the sink, hang the new curtains, touch ups, and clean some paint off the floor. Should get that done next weekend well before my turkey season deadline. I used this on the wood cabinets and trim and was very pleased with it. The Cashmere was alright but it took a bit more then I thought it should. Didn't help we were covering a tan color with white and the texture on the walls in the dining room seemed to soak it up.


Next up is the living room we already agreed on the color (coral island)I just have to figure out what type I'll use. I'll start that one after I'm done turkey hunting.

Our house builder had a contract with Sherwin so we went with that for painting what they painted--mostly the upper level and the outside. Only been 4 years but the outside seems to be holding up well--on Hardy cement board with some cedar trim. The inside though we noticed a problem immediately. They recommended an eggshell but it scuffs and show marks FAR worse than the usual Home Depot Behr paint we like and used when we finished the ground floor. Wasn't a huge deal at first but grandkids and walls that scuff don't go together well.
