I miss the CE and SI posts from a few years ago; they could make you cry laughing. It has mellowed a bit.
In the end, it is just the internet though
Budget cuts by the new management is my guess. . . . .
Good talent is expensive, by design.

Damn Googlebots
If you are wondering why the site is so slow today, as it was yesterday, we have about 20 Googlebots crawling the site and indexing every page.
I like to have a high ranking with Google, and am happy to see them indexing all the pages/threads of our site, but it sure is slowing things down. Wish they would get their business done and leave us alone.
Now, if they would only credit me for the "time on site" and "unique visits" for each of the Googlebots.

What is your sense on the accuracy of the reports you get from Google Analytics?
What is your sense on the accuracy of the reports you get from Google Analytics?
I think they are more accurate than what I can find from other sources. I have tested them against some things that I have had people do, and see if that action shows up on the report. So far, everytime I have someone hit a link, log in from a certain locations, come in from a certain link, I can see it the following day on my Google Analytics reports, so I am comfortable with those.
But, it is this big fuzzy cloud, so who knows what might be missing from those reports, or included in those reports that did not actually happen.
For the time being, it is what I go with. And, Google Analytics is for the entire website, not just the forum. The forum reports are very specific, but are only related to the forum pages.
