Please call you state legislator if so inclined soon...action is needed by midnight this Sunday the 17th.
As most may know, the Lessard Sams outdoor heritage fund...approved by voters...contributes millions of dollars for projects that benefit lands open to hunting and fishing each year.
The legislature has just a few days to approve this years bill. Some republican amendments were added that are controversial. It needs to pass by midnight Sunday.
Around 190 million worth of projects already approved by the citizen/legislator council that vets proposals wont go through if this is not passed.
While some are saying it could just be approved next year, there are multiple time sensitive projects in this year's batch including some public land acquisition projects that may fall through if not funded this year.
