When I heard that I considered moving, but the wife said No ,
Yup , happened last night , hanging a floating shelf.

My wife is an RN. She has said numerous times that men sure do like to hurt their hands.

I'm interested to see what my hands look like in 10 years based off the last 10 years of wear and tear.

I know plenty of carpenters who are missing fingers or parts of fingers. They claim it makes them a good carpenter. I claim otherwise.

Glad it wasn't anything too serious.

Tell your wife I pulled a prank on the nurses aide .
The Lydicain (?) shots hurt worse than the initial injury.
But when it’s was stitched up they sent an aide to bandage it . She put some antibacterial cream on it and started to spread it with a qtip and I jumped and cried out .
Scared her bad , she took a step back , gave me a dirty look , but couldn’t help but laugh, you got me good , she said.

At 66 I look at my scars on my hands and can’t for the life of me remember how or when I got most of them .
Some I remember all too well ,

Well, ya know, the deck still looked good after pressure washing it and it “will only take a minute so why put on proper shoes…”

The toenail grew back funny

I still have a nice “z” shaped scar on my left hand from an angle grinder.

And then there was going to the emergency room with a 16d gun nail holding my index and middle fingers together. Most pain I have ever experienced in my life with all of those nerve endings

I was shocked at how much the shot hurt , the nurse said hands and feet are the most painful .

My fingers definitely hurt worse than the toes
