I think the over-quota harvest of the larger herds probably has no effect, the borderline legal harvest may depend on other factors, especially in smaller herds.
Well the biologist that’s responsible for the entire hunt said in a meeting that it’s just a social aspect and I’m not dumb enough to argue with him on that. He also said that up until recently when you looked at the harvest averages across 10 years for every season we went over we had a season that they didn’t fill the quota. The abundance of over harvest lately will hopefully slow down thanks to the guys putting the work in to get the season closed sooner

I think we're saying the same thing and quoting the same biologist about the over-quota harvest not making a biological difference
