Oryx is on the wall!

I finally got to bring my Mcgregor Range NM oryx home. I went with a left facing wall pedestal form on this mount. I had it done by Major Wildlife Studios in Las Cruces and I think they did a pretty dang good job.

I'm jealous. Would loved to have had my daughter shoulder mount my gemsbuck but its face was torn up a few weeks before I shot it. Maybe the damage could have been repaired but I decided to not take a chance and settled for euro skull. Turns out the African taxidermist screwed up everything they touched so it's probably just as well.

The meat is fantastic. I've been spoiled to have Oryx meat in the freezer the last couple of years.
