A note on the Polar Bears. It only allows importation of bears taken before importation was made illegal. I believe there are only about 45 bears and hunters that were effected. It's a good thing that people that got their bears and then got caught in a bad situation with those laws on importation are now allowed to bring their bears home.

Correct. Not much space in a blog post to get into the technicalities so I generalized.
