Found a minty 1957 Win 70 Featherweight in 30-06 that had been in a horse crash 70 years ago......wood was broken and the Weaver bent.

Had the action trued and barrel inspected. It was like new, so it stayed.

Add new bottom metal, Ceracote, bed it into a McMillan. Add a Leupold in QR rings...trigger tuned to 3 pounds.

If there was ever one to rule them all....this may be it.

But how does it shoot?
Details...important details.

Using pet loads from other rifles at 100 yards, 165 Horn btsp and 180 Partitions are sub-moa.

I need Leupold to re-open the custom shop and get an M1 elevation dial installed.... I guess a CDS would work too.

Looking forward to stretching it out to distance.
