We had an M. I think every farm in the Midwest had one at one point or another. Followed by 4020 for a close 2nd.I grew up with an H, M, and Super M. Cool tractors for sure. Lots of nostalgia for me!
The one in the pictures is my mom’s family’s. My dad said his dad had a H and a Super C. He said the super C was good for cultivating with the plows right under you.I grew up with an H, M, and Super M. Cool tractors for sure. Lots of nostalgia for me!

Those 4020s are worth a small fortune. Selling for more than they cost new.We had an M. I think every farm in the Midwest had one at one point or another. Followed by 4020 for a close 2nd.

Oh yeah, I can relate too!!! Our family farm has these as well, an H and a couple M's and a Super M. We still use 3 of them are for planting and cultivating sweet corn rows, mowing with the bush hog or sickle bar and in the fall to power the grain augers when loading bins.I grew up with an H, M, and Super M. Yup !! Neighbor had 2 of them. How many remember a cockshuck gas or diesel engine.
My grandfather’s “big “ tractor was an M. I put some hours on that. The farmer I have a lease with now just bought a John Deere 9 rx… 913 hp !!!This old tractor has been sitting under the shed at my grandparents’ place for as long as I can remember. I believe it’s a Farmall M. It belonged to my great grandfather. I would love to see it restored one day. Tractors and farm equipment have come a long way since then.
