Ok, I am going kind of stir crazy. So tell me...

This year. Took the wife on a cow elk hunt. She makes a perfect 80 yard shot (rifle I guess I have to add, given what some guys think is a decent bow shot opp:D ). We are 3/4 mile from thew truck. Get it quartered up no problem. We are loading up to carry the first load.

Have a hind quarter strapped in and I think, gee this hind ain't so heavy, if I grab a front shoulder we'll have an easy 2-tripper. As I am reaching down and grabbing a front shoulder and draping it over my shoulder for the easy walk out, the wife is grousing about how that is not safe and to not try it. Since I know everything there is to know:hump:, I am telling her in no uncertain terms it is "NO PROBLEM back off". I have literally not even gotten the words out of my mouth as I slip and break my fibula. Hobbled out leaving the pack and meat behind. Wife has to go in with a backup team to pack it all out as I lay on the couch, iced up, waiting for surgery in a few days...

On my one and only attempt at duck hunting I managed to shoot my heel off with an "unloaded" gun. Had to drive myself 40 miles to the hospital pushing the clutch with the foot I just shot. It only took 7 surgeries and 3 years to be functional again.

We have a winner!!!

Dude.

That is nasty.

COOL!!! I can add it to my shelf with all the other trophies I've won from "Who Has Done The Most Stupid Sh!t" contests.

Gah...Looks like you have some corn stuffed inside that wound. (Insert Sick emoticon here)

Ouch!!! Do you remember the fall? Had to have happened in slow motion, thinking all the way down "this is going to hurt".

Well, I can't compete with nmtaxi or Blue Devil, but this is what happened when riding back to town after I killed my first elk when I was 14. I wasn't driving.
