The week long season opened Monday. The weather has sucked, Sucked, SUCKED ! Rainy, Windy, COLD, Miserable weather. Deer movement is about zero. 3 Days hunting has yeided an equal number of sighting of fox squirells and nothing more. I'm working the next two days, out of state, so that is going to leave the weekend when the skies are supposed to clear some and warm up to the 40's, or so.

We'll see.............

I'm hearing about the same report from guys here in my area of Ohio. Stay at it, it'll pay off, plus the weekend warriors should have the deer up moving, never know what will show up. Good luck!

I only got to go Monday. Luckily, I was sitting in a blind so the rain wasn't a factor for me. I should have ended my season that morning. I missed a heck of a buck. Somehow between Sunday afternoon, when my gun was dead on, to Monday morning, I managed to knock the scope off. I don't know how I done it. I don't remember bumping it or anything. I came out around noon and shot to see how I had missed a deer 50 yards away. It was almost a foot off. I guess it was just bad luck:( I won't get to go again until Saturday. I still have plenty of bow season though! :)

If you didn't cause it by a fall or something, I'd suggest that you probably need to check the rings and bases to see that everything is tight. If it was on the last time you shot it the day before, that may be your problem and the scope is moving. Are you using a shotgun or a straight wall rifle cartridge that is allowed in Ohio this year?

Topgun, I'm using an CVA Optima muzzleloader. I have killed many deers with it over the years. I checked the rings and bases when I brought it out of the woods. I think the scope reticule might have broke on me. I have had the scope a long time. It is an old Weaver. I'm thinking about getting a Vortex for it. Dad and I also have a .444 Marlin (Henry lever gun) on the way. I'm anxious to try that sucker out on one next year! :D
