Offrange NM Oryx Hunt 2025

Hey @5yearcoueshunter, great write-up and that’s a beautiful bull. Seems like a great idea to get away from the roads and hunt it on foot instead of just driving around.

My 13-year-old daughter drew the November youth off-range tag this year. We’ll be coming from California and should have four or five days to hunt. What made you choose that roadless area? Was there something you saw on the map or heard about the area that made you want to focus there?

I could really use any help just getting pointed in the right direction and figuring out where to focus our time. really hoping to make it a fun and memorable time with my daughter. Thanks for sharing the hunt.

Good luck to your daughter! Hope she gets one and you guys have a great time! The area I went was based on spending time in that area before and doing some additional online research. It's no secret that the core Oryx area is WSMR, so I would just make sure you are somewhat close to that boundary and try to find areas with less roads on the map if you are looking to walk. Good luck!
