I drew on a hunt of a lifetime. Units 66A and 76 in Idaho for 25 controlled permit hunt. October 1st-October 8th or so, the Bulls are still breeding and rutting, right?

Or like Randy Newberg has said... This may be the post rut period. If the Bulls are still pushing cows, this may be fairly easy to shoot a nice bull especially if they are bugling. But if they aren't bugling and they are isolating themselves then this hunt may be as difficult as the 15th-25th of October hunt that I've been on in the past.

For those of you that have hunted units 76 and 66A where are the big 350 class Bulls hanging out?? Besides on private property!! The area in unit 66A where I usually archery hunt year in and year out do not have huge 300 class Bulls. Believe me I've put the miles on and have not found very many 300+ Bulls up there.

Also is a .280 Remington with a 150 grain bullet enough to bring down a big 350+ bull if I'm afforded that opportunity.
