Look, a few considerations that might lower your frustration level, which seems a bit unrealistic. This is what’s wrong with world no one willing to help others! Not looking for someone to give me there spot! Wow! I just know any time I could help someone I help them!
There was no disrespect intended, in general world just don’t help people that much, not thinking of the time of the post. Plus I’m the first to go help out in hunting camps when I don’t draw a tag. If I don’t get a tag I don’t post, unless someone reaches out for help, if I can help I help, if I can not help with a reply it’s because others have already answered the question.Look, a few considerations that might lower your frustration level, which seems a bit unrealistic.
> You made two posts 35 minutes apart, on late on a Friday before a three-day weekend. Getting pissed about the fact that folks have other things on their calendar, some of whom are likely in bed when you're posting, doesn't invite many people to help. If that little tirade is any indication, you're likely not going to get a lot of offers to help.
> Add in the fact that the last time you drew a tag in 2020, you registered for the forum and asked for info on another unit. I can't find a follow up report to your hunt. You here to be part of the community or milk folks for what you can get?
> You say you live in Vegas. This hunt is virtually in your backyard. My brother-in-law lives in this unit and I have seen deer while driving from Vegas to his house. I have taken drives in a rental car and found deer in Unit 262. I know a woman from SD who shot a crazy looking one-sixty+ buck on a mountain I can see from my BIL's house. Consider yourself lucky to have a tag where you can be scouting in less than an hour. That's the fun part of the tag.
I don't think you're going to get much help starting two threads on the forum on the same tag, with the history I mentioned above. Getting pissed and complaining about "what's wrong with the world," implying that forum members here are part of what's wrong, is not likely to get you much return.
Good luck on your hunt. I'd like to hunt there some day. It is a cool place that would be habitat I've never hunted. But, the draw odds for a NR are such that I don't have to worry about it.
Part of the problem - that i suspect you arent seeing - is that helping you on a public forum is actually helping everyone who can use google. There was no disrespect intended, in general world just don’t help people that much, not thinking of the time of the post. Again no disrespect intended.
That's a great bit of advice. As I reflect on my personal habits of helping people with tags they've drawn, I would say volunteerism/engagement/advocacy is the "currency" I end up measuring when a request for help is made of me. I'm 10x, maybe higher, more likely to help someone I know has put time or effort into putting more critters on the landscape.Id suggest looking to help/contribute/join at a local conservation org. If you go looking to give something that can help a species, access, or conservation - you might find other stuff along the way.
Do a lot of glassing in the cold Creek area, the area requires a lot of scounting to find deer, but that's hunting.Looking for some help!
Going to do a lot of scouting, hoping for some starting point for deer buck! Only 30 tags in the area! Not wanting a honey hole, I’m willing to put the work in but never hunted here so help would be nice!
