It is reported Mikle Lee stated in the last day or so he definitely plans to try to reinsert the public land sales into the bill in the Senate. No shocker in that.

It blows my mind that anyone thought this administration would not go after public lands.
This will be one of the most important fights we face if we expect to keep access and overall available public lands actually 'public'.
I have sent emails and called both Daines and Sheehy, and received the usual canned responses about how they are "fighting for Montanans". I am officially sick and tired of the rich getting richer and the power grab dictating every move by current elected officials. It has become almost a "gee, wouldn't it be nice" thought that our kids get to enjoy the outdoors, access, etc. but in reality it feels more like a 50/50 coin toss.
This will be one of the most important fights we face if we expect to keep access and overall available public lands actually 'public'.

If you live in a state with Republican Senators, or even better, if you live in one of the states highlighted in this article, your voice may be pretty important here..

I may be biased as he's more or less from my neighborhood, but I'm really enjoying Patrick Berry's writing on recent public land issues. Stressing the bipartisan support for public lands (from voters) is absolutely the right way to go:
