You should try Boulder Colorado some time for cyclists with attitude.

Anywhere along the Front Range foothills really-Highway 93/Highway 36/Golden/Boulder/Longmont/Morrison/Deer Creek/Highway 105/Perry Park. They're becoming a scourge man, and many of them ride like idiots, like they're trying to get hit so they can sue somebody.

Inattentive drivers is normal so to label this one a “Karen” is misleading. Unless, as previously mentioned she is actually named Karen. It’s not yet been set as to what parameters identify a Karen or if she has to meet all of the established standards to be Karen. Let’s agree for sake of argument the following widely accepted standards- Karen is: white, middle aged, has a bob hairstyle, entitled, ignorant, loud, attention seeker, has children, assumes leadership yet takes no responsibility.

So as presented to us, this is not a Karen. Middle age was seen. We may assume she’s white premised on location, but that’s not empirical. If the driver had seen you and backed out anyway then there’s entitlement though there’s no evidence of that. Plaza CCTV replay might show differently, you could check into that. And all the other Karen standards are N/A to this event. With age and then weak circumstantial only provided on two identifiers, the burden has not been met. I move that you remove the awarded title from this woman at once as she did not do anything to earn a Karen award.

Right here is a great example of another almost Karen. She’s got the entitlement in spades and is a bag of hammers in most analytics. Yet no bob, not yet middle aged. We all want to claim “Karen!” but she’s only Lauren for now.

Just like riding on a motorcycle, you need the mindset that you are invisible. As my motorcycle instructor said 20 years ago, 'Having the right of way doesn't make you any less dead.'

I always yell out the window at Walmart and Costco to people, that just because they may have the right of way doesn’t mean it wouldn’t hurt!
