This fall. Two shots two deer together. I filled my either sex tag and my mule deer doe tag. I was using a Ruger 1B single-shot in 6mm Remington (of course) and 100 gr. Nosler Partitions. One shot each. Doe was standing and I shot her first. Buddy yelled buck big buck and I just had time to get a round from my pocket and loaded in the Ruger. Shot just as he was hauling ass leaving the country and in two or three steps would be gone forever. Big old 2 point (3rd on one side) that the biologists aged at 7 or 8 years old.

165 grain nosler partition in 7mm mag. This buck was standing behind desert brush at 170 yards. That is the entry wound after the bullet opening as it passed through the brush. I've never needed more than one round with this hand loaded ammo, thanks to my Uncle!

After hunting for 35 years, i finally got my first buck.
Yeah, it's a small rack. But legal 7 point, let me tear off & fill out my buck tag.
Lots of does in those 35 years! Lol
Ruger 77 MKII in 257 Roberts.
100gr Ballistic Tip over a charge of Hybrid 100V loaded to +P.
Shot was 70 yards.
Coworker saw buck start to run after my shot, and shot with his 7mm-08. Clipped it's back. Not fatal, but nasty looking wound.
Deer piled up about 30 yards from my shot. Both lungs & heart destroyed. Bullet exited.

Unfortunately I have no pictures, but 140 gr nosler accubond in 6.5 creedmore took 3 deer yesterday 2 does and a big old buck that was turning grey.. I have to say I am super impressed with the performance all 3 DRT and when I hit a shoulder there was hardly any bloodshot meat..

Yes, I am a Nosler fan boy! My handloads are all Nosler bullets and brass. Nothing less than spectacular results on game and great accuracy.



Both rifles are 26" barreled Browning X-bolts. SHOT show specials. They had ugly grey stocks, so I duracoated them. Bought one, it was so accurate and easy to load for, I bought a second identical. Both .280s. Both 1/2" shooters, consistently with 140 and 160 gr. Accubonds.
140s @ 3040 fps, 160s @ 2925 fps.
