I ran into this image on my computer today and it took me back a few years, the north country, the spungy feel of the tundra under your feet, the fall color, and the experience of putting down tracks in a new land. I can't think of anything more fun than the excitement of discovery a person gets when going into a new place.

thanks Elkhunter,

I stumbled onto that rack and skull plate on the tundra in Denali National Park years ago. He must havbe been a handsome bull with a double'shovel rack and seven to eight points on top. There was blood stains on the boones and the skeleton was skattered across the landscape. I figured wolves were his surmise. And I'll tell you, it was hard to walk away from that rack as it was tucked away from the road in a place no one else would have ever enjoyed it. .....gtta love that park service!
