Check out thrown broad heads. I have taken many animals with them, fly just like a field tip and absolutely devastating damage when it hits. Check em out! You’ll be happy you did.

Early 70's the Thunderhead came to market. Killed everything with it. Can tune for really good flight. Shoulder finally done now do now shooting crossbow with Rage. But crazy I shot same the Broadhead for over 50 years!!!

Switched to QAD exodus last year from slick tricks. They fly exactly like field tips which made my life easy. Shot a bear and an elk last year with the same head and it’s still in good shape
I have heard a lot of good things about slick trick magnums so I am going to hopefully send some through a few animals this fall

So, a friend and I were shooting our bows the other day.
He's got a Mathews with 65lb pull.
I had my APA Viper Air with 50lb pull.

He started on how deep the penetration was with his Rage mechanical broadheads.

So I challenged him to shoot the 1" thick piece of conveyor belt that his grandfather has for a backstop. Distance was 30 yards at the time.

The tip of his went in, then the arrow bounced back dropping on the ground in front of it.

He looked at me and said "your turn".

So I screwed on one of the Magnus Single Bevel onto an arrow.

My broadhead went through along with 4" of arrow.

125 grain Slick Trick mags
I have always used fixed heads, with the exception of the one time I used a mechanical and didn't recover an elk, due to lack of penetration. I have used 125 gr Slick Trick Magnums since 2007. They fly like field points and I've had great penetration using them. I have killed elk, mule deer, and antelope with Slick Tricks.
Did you see the thread I did on the failure/steel they are now using? This went thru a cow and only contacted ribs. She died from the puncture hole in about 45 min. She did not bleed out with a double lung. Pretty disgusting to have to wait and watch her die. IMG_4589.jpegIMG_4590.jpegIMG_4363.jpeg

Iron Will is currently selling singles for $39. Hard pill when a three pack of other brands cost the same.

I just ordered one to try out before a full commit. 100 grain with a single left bevel to match my bare shaft rotation and fletching direction. I’ll back weight my inserts and the arrow should be dead nuts 500 grains total.

I’ll post more about the arrow build on the AI arrow thread I started once I get everything tuned. I used Chat GPT compared against Archer’s Advantage to explore hypothetical set-ups and to test AI capabilities.

Anyone have any reasons to dislike the Iron Wills? Field reports?
Any feedback on the Iron Wills?
