Fire near the lake jumped a line and up to 800 acres from 30.
Another at Fort Stanton has burned 700 acres and some old barracks burned.

Scrape on hr side got red & sore from licking and I needed it to heal.

I barely got her to the truck and then she jumped halfway in herself.
Her 1st road encounter with cattle. Barks & growls.
1st a trip to the dump and the PO for my pills.

The Buck Fire east of Aragon jumped to 23,000 acres yesterday. Pelona Mtn. getting hit on the south side.
The Trout Fire is around 2500 acres burning north of Silver City, Trout creek , Lake Roberts area. Most CG's closed.

Going to be a hot weekend here. Low 90's it is the cool spot in the south of the state.
Cooling some after Mon. No rain hitting the ground here.
Winds have died here and maybe a pit/grill fire this afternoon. After I soak the ground.

Drove thru a frog strangler Thursday between Embudo and Taos. Drops big as saucers. Temps plunged 20 degrees. Taos and Red River jam packed and perennial road construction in towns and east of Espanola.

I was watching a Sioux Falls weather report today and the meteorologist was talking big picture and really highlighted NM getting a bunch of moisture late next week because of the hurricane. His graphs looked promising for you guys.
Fingers crossed for (I’m sure always) needed moisture.

50, heading for low 80's for a couple days.
10% chance today. More next week.

Lightning strike fire on BLM west of me on Baca ranch. They got on it.

I got 1/4 inch this week. Socorro got 4.5" on Tues.
Not much west of the divide but it has doused down the Trout and Buck fires.

Have two months supply of meds and Dotti is all healed up.

Dotti spotted the bobcat momma this morning and held her ground.
She's feeding the babies with bunnies around me. Must have a den in the mesa rocks. Neighbor sees her walking back past his windows. His cats just watch from the window then go try.

Electrician neighbor coming to fill a water tank this morning and pick up the solar controller I no longer need. Well must be low.
Keep the good ones happy.

Dotti is so spoiled, she loves elk meat. Bones. Hide...LOL

1st T-heads over the White Mtns. yesterday. Tried here but just spit at the ranch.

Extreme fire danger still. Bone dry on the range.
Lot's of smoke from several fires. One 6300 acres on the Navajo Rez over the border.

News yesterday showed some A-holes vandalizing ranchers water improvements, gates & fencing in the county. FS/BLM leases.

The good news was an E-mail from G&F. I have a bull tag, so another try for Big Hank...LOL
Monsoon rains til 4th break and again next week. Pattern is in place and lot's of moisture and flow from Gulf & Pacific.
Got a decent haircut & cut the beard down.
No 100 degree weather for a few days is the best. Humidity ruined a good pie.

No problemo.
