Just got the call this morning that my older sister and her husband had their first child this morning. It was a boy! all healthy and good! I can't wait for them to come visit over Christmas I feel I will be making a few trips to New York where they live in the future. I am already looking forward in trying to get him to enjoy the outdoors and what it has to offer like I did as a young boy. Hopefully he will like it as much as I do and I will have a new hunting partner in the future!

Congrats Uncle!!

I've been having a blast with my 5 year old nephew this fall. We went squirrel hunting a few times, and I took him out for his first deer hunt last weekend. I wasn't going to be fussy so when this little buck walked by, I didn't hesitate to shoot him. We had so much fun together that he had to get a picture of him and the deer printed to hang up by his bed, so he could look at it every night. You are going to have a ton of fun with the little guy!

Just remember, If you haven't raised your own kids yet, payback for gifts like Tickle-Me-Elmo or play drum sets is hell.

Thanks for the positive posts guys! And I do not plan on getting him any of those gifts. I plan on saving up now for a few guns in the future for him when he becomes of age.

Good call. I made a point to buy my nephew the biggest, most obnoxious, inflatable animal I could find for every Christmas. It was fun to see the look on my sister's face and to see my brother-in-law almost pass out from blowing them up. I also threw in a few harmonica's and noisemakers. My wife is due tomorrow, so I've got my own coming any day. I'm quickly starting to regret my decisions as I know they are waiting for payback.

Congrats!! I have a 4 year old grandson and another grandchild on the way. I can't wait to get them out, but my daughter is a city girl and might be a little reluctant to let me play with guns with him...lol
