Maybe this part:
A U.S. Department of Justice lawyer wearing a black suit advocated for Orozco-Ramirez to remain in detention, calling him “dangerous.” Several of the dozen or so Froid residents, who had driven seven hours to show their support for their neighbor, shook their heads.
A public defender rebutted this, referencing a previous statement by the local sheriff stating he “posed no danger to the community.” Court documents say Orozco-Ramirez has no criminal history.
Ultimately, federal Judge John Johnston set a preliminary hearing, where a judge will determine if there is enough evidence for the case to proceed, for Feb. 5 and a detention hearing, to determine whether he should be released on bail throughout his case, on Feb. 9. He will remain in detention until then.
When and why does the Sheriff's opinion not matter? If he's not dangerous, he could/should be released on bail so that he can at least prepare his affairs should he be deported.
It also points to the nuance involved when the rubber meets the road on federal immigration policy.
Some of us got it.So? What's your point in posting this here?
Some of us got it.
Wind gypsy is one of the guys from rokslide that enjoys licking boots. @Bonasababy dont mind himNot a chance in hell of an unbiased investigation either way.
One can take a look at the George Floyd trials to see how the MN folks treat their investigations and run corrupt trials.
I don't understand your comment with regard to what I said. There is no law change required. The Feds claim he's dangerous. The local law enforcement says he's not. Which of those entities actually knows him vs which one has an agenda to support? He could have been released on bail.Change the law then.
They are repealing tps to make people “illegals” they(you) never cared about people coming here the right way. You(they) just want them to be white. No self respecting European would come to a country where the most basic things like healthcare for all and mentally sound leadership are non existent. We are a country of laws. If you break them, you should face the music. No exceptions.
Being in this country is a privilege. There is a process to citizenship and there is a process of removal. If you are here Illegally, you should be treated as an invader, captured, and removed from this country immediately. Actually, I think that pretty much is the process in a nutshell. And lets be honest, letting people go on bail to "prepare their affairs" clearly wasn't working well for us.....Just saying.
But I'm still trying to figure out how this guy getting arrested in BF Montana is nothing more than gaslighting and sympathizing with illegal immigration.
ALSO, I welcome legal immigration and I don't care what color your skin is.
This thread was maintaining a pretty sane tone of debate, considering how heated the topic is.@Wind Gypsy is one of the orcs from rokslide that enjoys licking boots. @Bonasababy dont mind him
While that is true, it also resulted in the prosecution and conviction of rookie officers who were simply following orders, and even tried, within what they felt comfortable with, to override their boss. Their lives were ruined. Were they still in the wrong, yeah, should they have gone to jail, no. There are a lot of valid critiques to that trial, outside of the outcome for Chauvin.Gotta be sarcasm right? Floyd was another case where...thank God due to a scared young girls video...we all witnessed an unjustified murder.
No one? You sure about that?Funny how no one on the police force opened fire during this....but you know, seditious insurrection is so 2021. Glad these 'tourists' are now ICE agents.
I wonder if anyone attending this "peaceful rally" was armed? The hypocrisy is off the charts.

Change the law? Work on a reasonable streamlined path to citizenship for those worthy?Change the law then. Sounds to me that he had plenty of time in America to get his affairs in order and get the proper paperwork to be considered a lawful citizen. He certainly had enough time and money to build a repair shop himself from the ground up. He was deported before seems like that would of been enough of a scare and wake up call to get his immigrant status in order.
It sucks big time I do agree on that, but he didnt follow the law and somebody in Froid probably didnt like that or had some other small town vendetta against him so they reported him is my guess.
How many years did he have to get his affairs in order? Probably would have been rubber stamped during the last administration. I mean if I decided to stop filling my taxes you guys gonna get all upset when I end up in jail? I’ll still pay thru the year with my employer but just not file. I’m tired of paying single zero and extra 200 taken out of all my checks just to write. A 6-8k dollar check to the government every spring. I’m sure his business was paying taxes but I highly doubt he was.Maybe this part:

I’m not sure there is a middle ground to be had here. Fundamentally we disagree on how people should be treated. I think that people should be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect especially those who are the most vulnerable. I’ll take a wild guess and assess that you’re more of a crack skulls “law and order” when your guy is in charge guy. At the same time you likely voted for a guy who raped children. Not sure what consensus we could come to. User != botMethinks I am having a conversation with a BOT and I don't really care to debate someone who has been a member here for 4 years with 3 posts to their name (all of which are pretty hateful) but I really do wish there was a way we could have common ground on this topic and others.
However, it is obvious (by you already deciding that I am a white racist) that we will not likely be able to amicably meet in the middle. I'm sorry you feel that way.
According to the article, in his 2009 deportation, they stated gang affiliation, so I'm assuming he would never have been granted legal status. I can't speak to the accuracy of their assumption of gang affiliation, but in the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia and many other recent ones, the presence of any tattoos or wearing certain styles of clothes or hats is enough which seems pretty questionable. Hell, @Rack Daniels might get booted for his flatbrimsHow many years did he have to get his affairs in order? Probably would have been rubber stamped during the last administration. The younger officers all received lesser sentences. Theres a lot of complexity there needed to discuss this. While that is true, it also resulted in the prosecution and conviction of rookie officers who were simply following orders, and even tried, within what they felt comfortable with, to override their boss. If you find you're always in complete agreement with one side, you're not better than the other, just different.
Okay ill believe you.The reality is that those being taken overwhelmingly come from those other categories.
Why would you make an exception for him? The law, which I question how much people care about, says that he can be released on bail if he's not a danger to his community or a flight risk. The Feds said the former, his community law enforcement said the opposite. How many years did he have to get his affairs in order? I completely agree. Unfortunately that's not what's happening with these "law enforcement" officers they appear to me to be above the law. A criminal with a badge is far scarier then any illegal immigrants in my book.We are a country of laws. If you break them, you should face the music. No exceptions.
